Overview

For sleepers who have stayed with the AirFit F10, this is ResMed's own headgear for it, so the fit you know stays the same. New straps hold the cushion at the light, even tension it was designed for.

Choose Small (63165), Standard (63164), or Large (63166) in blue, or the For Her headgear (63167) in pink. It fits the AirFit F10 and AirFit F10 for Her. The headgear comes on its own, without a frame or cushion.

Key features:

  • Over or under your hair: Wear the lower part of the headgear above or below your hair, as ResMed allows either, to suit your hairstyle.
  • No magnets: There are no magnets in the F10 headgear, so the implant warnings that come with some newer ResMed masks don't apply here.
  • Nylon and Lycra: ResMed's parts table lists a nylon and Lycra textile for the straps, over flexible polyurethane foam banding.
  • Made without latex: ResMed states the F10 mask system is made without natural rubber latex, PVC, DEHP, or phthalates.
  • Still on ResMed's list: ResMed still includes the AirFit F10 on its current mask compatibility chart for its CPAP machines.

It suits long-time F10 wearers who would rather replace a tired strap than learn a new mask, and For Her wearers replacing the pink headgear that came with their mask. Order the same size you have now, and the fit carries straight over.

Note: This headgear fits only the AirFit F10 family. The AirFit F20 and the older Quattro Air look similar but take their own headgear, so look for F10 on your frame before you order.

How it works

Fitting the new headgear

Loop the two upper straps through the upper hooks on the frame, with the label on the back panel facing out and the ResMed logo right side up. Leave the lower straps free until the mask is on your face.

Putting it on

Hold the mask to your face and pull the headgear over your head. Undo the upper tabs, draw the straps evenly until the mask feels stable, and refasten. Bring the lower straps under your ears onto the lower hooks and adjust them until the mask rests firmly on your chin.

Taking it off to wash

Unhook the upper straps and the headgear comes free of the frame, with no need to open the tabs. Your strap lengths stay as they were, ready for the night after it dries.

Everything you need to know about the ResMed AirFit F10 Headgear

Keeps a familiar mask going

If the AirFit F10 is the mask you've settled into, new headgear lets you keep it rather than start over with a new fit. The genuine ResMed part means the straps meet your frame the same way they always have.

Tired straps and leaks

Old straps lose their spring, and tightening them to stop a leak can backfire, since ResMed notes that overtightening may cause leaks on the F10. A fresh set holds the cushion at the light tension it was designed for.

Lower hooks for quick release

The lower straps loop onto hooks below your ears, so unhooking one side lets you take the mask off without loosening anything. Put it back on and the fit you chose is still there, ready for the rest of the night.

SoftEdge straps

ResMed rolls the strap edges for a softer touch, aiming for less facial marking by morning.

Hooks, not clips

The straps loop onto hooks on the frame, so there are no clips to buy, lose, or replace later on.

Light-touch seal

The F10 cushion is built to inflate against your face, so the straps need only a gentle pull to seal.

Four sizes

Small, Standard, and Large come in blue, and the For Her headgear comes in pink to match the mask you own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my AirFit F20 mask?

No. The F20 has a different frame and its own headgear with magnetic clips. This one fits the AirFit F10 and the AirFit F10 for Her.

Which F10 headgear size should I order?

Order the same size as the headgear that came with your mask. ResMed sizes the F10 by its cushion and publishes no separate headgear sizing guide, and For Her wearers choose For Her.

How do I wash F10 headgear?

ResMed's F10 guide asks for a gentle hand-wash each week, rubbing the straps in warm water with mild soap. Rinse with drinking-quality water, then let it dry in a shaded spot.

How often should F10 headgear be replaced?

ResMed's general schedule for headgear is every six months. Its F10 guide adds a plain rule: replace any part that shows cracks, discolouration, or tears.

Does F10 headgear fit the Quattro Air?

ResMed doesn't list it for that mask. The Quattro Air shares its cushions and elbow with the F10, but it has its own frame and its own headgear part numbers.
