Overview
This is the replacement headgear for the Fisher & Paykel Evora Full, sold in Standard and Extra Large with its clips. Swapping a worn headgear for a fresh one brings back the steady, even hold your mask had when it was new, without paying for a whole new mask.
Living with it is simple. You set the straps once, then take the mask off each morning by unhooking the clips, so the fit you worked out is waiting for you at bedtime. The breathable straps help keep the back of your head from feeling sticky.
Key features:
- Clips in the set: Both headgear clips and the frame clip come with it, so the new headgear is ready to hook onto your frame.
- Breathable straps: F&P's VentiCool fabric is designed to let heat and moisture escape, which helps on warm nights or if you run hot.
- A fit that holds: Unhooking the clips to take the mask off leaves every strap exactly where you set it, night after night.
- Two sizes: Standard is the starting size, and Extra Large gives the lower straps more length if Standard runs short.
- Every Evora Full seal: It fits all three Evora Full seal sizes, so a change of seal never means a change of headgear.
- No magnets: F&P states its masks contain no magnets, which matters if you or your partner have a medical implant.
If your current headgear has gone loose, faded or stretched to the point where tightening no longer helps, this restores the hold your Evora Full was designed around. Check that your mask says Evora Full rather than Evora Nasal, and you'll have the right part.
Note: Headgear only. The Evora Full seal, frame, tube and swivel are sold separately, and the Evora Nasal takes its own CapFit headgear.
How it works
Putting it on
Unhook both headgear clips from the frame. Place the seal on your face, guide the headgear over your head and hook both clips back on. Tighten the blue upper straps first, then the lower straps loosely, and turn on your machine to fine-tune until it seals comfortably.
Getting a good fit
If the mask leaks, lift the seal away from your face and reposition it before tightening anything. A correct fit feels snug, not tight: F&P warns against overtightening, so loosen the straps if you wake with red marks on your face.
Looking after it
Wash the headgear by hand once a week, clips left on, then rinse it well and dry it out of direct sunlight. Replace it when it stretches past the point of adjustment, discolours, or the clips no longer latch.

Features and use
Picking Standard or Extra Large
F&P doesn't publish a head measurement for either size. Its advice is practical: start with Standard, and move up to Extra Large if the lower straps are too short to adjust.
- Seal size and headgear size are chosen separately
- F&P links a poor fit to pressure sores and leaks toward the eyes
Where each strap goes
The blue upper straps thread through the frame clip at the top of the mask, and the lower straps run through the two headgear clips. Knowing which is which makes refitting quick.
- Tighten the blue upper straps first, then the lower ones loosely
- If a strap touches your ear, adjust the straps on top of your head
Weekly care the F&P way
F&P asks for the headgear to be washed by hand after seven days of use, in lukewarm water with mild soap. Rinse until no soap remains and dry it away from direct sunlight.
- Soak for no more than ten minutes
- No dishwasher, bleach, alcohol or chlorine
- Skip antibacterial cleaners and moisturizers, which can leave residue
Which masks it fits
This headgear is made for the F&P Evora Full full face mask. F&P lists a separate headgear for each of its masks, including the Evora Nasal, so match the mask name rather than the word Evora.
- The Evora Nasal uses its own CapFit headgear
- Seal, frame, tube and swivel are sold separately
- Your CPAP machine has no bearing on the fit

Clips included
Each headgear arrives with its two headgear clips and the frame clip. You replace a tired headgear in one step instead of ordering small parts on their own.
Breathable fabric
The straps use F&P's VentiCool fabric, designed to let heat and moisture escape from your head. That helps on warm nights or if you tend to run hot in bed.
Settings stay
You take the mask off by unhooking the clips, so the straps never need loosening. Once you've found a fit that seals, it's still there the next night.
Any seal size
It fits the Evora Full in every seal size it comes in. If you move to a different seal later, the headgear you already own keeps working.
Common questions
Will this headgear fit my Evora Nasal mask?
No. The Evora Nasal uses a different headgear called CapFit, which joins its frame in a different way. F&P sells each Evora headgear under its own part number, so check the name on your mask before you order.
Do the clips come with the headgear?
Yes. F&P's guide says each Evora Full headgear includes a pair of headgear clips plus the frame clip. F&P also sells the clips on their own, for anyone who has lost or cracked one but whose headgear is still fine.
How do I know if I need Extra Large?
Start with Standard. If you can't adjust the lower straps because they've run out of length, F&P recommends moving to the Extra Large. Both sizes fit every Evora Full seal size, so your seal choice doesn't change.
How often should I replace the headgear?
F&P's replacement schedule suggests about every six months, or sooner if the fabric discolours, stretches past the point of adjustment, or the clips stop latching. Separately, F&P says to replace the whole mask within a year of first use.
Can the headgear go in the washing machine?
F&P's instructions call for hand washing only, and they rule out the dishwasher. They don't mention washing machines or dryers, so we'd stick with a basin of soapy water and let it air dry out of the sun.
Does the Evora Full headgear contain magnets?
No. F&P states that its masks, the Evora Full among them, do not contain magnets. That makes it a simple choice if you or your bed partner have an implant that magnets can affect.
