Overview
The ResMed AirTouch F30i Comfort covers your mouth and rests just under your nose with a cushion of soft fabric bonded to silicone, so what touches your skin feels gentle rather than slick. It adjusts as you move, and ResMed designed it to keep a steady seal in any position.
Night to night, the hose stays out of your way because it connects on top of your head. The fabric breathes, which ResMed says keeps your skin cooler and less sweaty. Magnetic clips let you take the mask off and put it back in seconds.
Key features:
- Rated comfortable: In a ResMed study of experienced CPAP users, almost everyone rated the AirTouch F30i comfortable overall.
- A ResMed first: ResMed calls it the first full face mask it has covered in fabric, with the fabric fused onto silicone.
- Swap cushions: AirFit F30i and AirFit X30i cushions fit this frame, so changing style doesn't mean buying a whole new mask.
- Up at night: Press the elbow's side buttons and the hose comes away, leaving the mask in place while you're up.
- Five size pairings: Each option pairs a frame size with a cushion size, from a Small frame up to a Large frame.
- Licensed in Canada: Health Canada first licensed this mask in October 2025, and you'll find the number under Specifications.
The AirTouch F30i suits mouth breathers with sensitive skin, people who have struggled with silicone, and anyone who moves around a lot at night. If you'd rather have nasal pillows than an under-the-nose cushion, the AirFit X30i uses this same frame and headgear.
Note: The frame and the lower headgear clips hold magnets. If you, or anyone who sleeps near you, has a pacemaker, defibrillator, or another implant that magnets can affect, contact us before ordering so we can suggest a different mask.
How it works
Putting the mask on
Start by removing the elbow and twisting off both magnetic clips. Place the cushion beneath your nose, lift the frame and headgear over the crown of your head so the logo points up, then guide the lower straps below your ears until each clip meets the frame.
Even out the upper tabs first and the lower straps second, stopping once the seal feels comfortable, then click the elbow onto the frame at the top. Long hair passes through the opening at the back of the headgear, and a ponytail is fine if it sits high enough.
How the cushion seals
ResMed calls the cushion's design AdaptiSeal. Rather than relying on rigid plastic, the cushion itself flexes and adjusts to your face as you change position, which is what keeps the seal steady when you turn over.
Inside the cushion, a soft bridge under your nose holds its shape so the seal stays reliable through the night. The frame is wrapped in fabric too, and it flexes to suit different face and head shapes.

Features and fit
What ResMed's study found
ResMed asked experienced CPAP users to sleep in the AirTouch F30i and judge it against the silicone AirFit F30i they already knew:
- Nearly all rated it comfortable overall
- Every one of them fitted it without help
- Most could change position and stay comfortable
- Most called it quiet or very quiet
Choosing your frame and cushion
You pick two sizes. Your head decides the frame size, and the width of your nose decides the cushion.
- Frame: measure from under your nose, up over your head, and back
- Cushion: Medium for a narrower nose, Small-Wide or Large for a wider one
- A frame that slides back toward your ears calls for the next size down
- One that tips toward your eyes calls for the next size up
Daily and weekly cleaning
Unlike memory foam, this cushion goes in water. Each morning, soak it in warm, mildly soapy water and wash it gently by hand, without a brush.
- Weekly: wash the frame, headgear and elbow the same way
- Squeeze the fabric parts in a towel, then air-dry them out of the sun
- A twisted frame sleeve can be eased straight while it's still wet
- Skip ozone and UV cleaners, which ResMed says can damage the mask
Machines and swappable cushions
It's made for CPAP and bilevel therapy. Before your first night on an AirSense or AirCurve, set the mask type to Full Face.
- Not compatible with the AirMini travel machine
- AirFit F30i and AirFit X30i cushions click into this frame
- Replacement cushions come in Small-Wide, Medium and Large
- Headgear with magnetic clips is sold on its own

Fabric cushion
What rests on your skin is soft fabric rather than bare silicone. ResMed fuses the fabric onto a silicone base, so the cushion feels gentle and still holds its shape as it seals.
Tube on top
Your hose clips in up on the crown, so nothing hangs in front of your face. Roll onto your side or stomach and the tube moves with you instead of tugging on the seal.
Breathable material
Air passes through the fabric and moisture is drawn away from your skin. ResMed designed it to keep the area around your nose and mouth cooler and less sweaty through the night.
Low noise
Each breath out leaves through a diffused vent built into the cushion, which spreads the air into a soft, gentle flow. ResMed measured it as quieter than its silicone AirFit F30i.
Common questions
How often should I replace the fabric cushion?
ResMed's guidance for this mask is a fresh cushion monthly, with the frame lasting three months and the headgear six. Swap a part early if the fabric tears or the silicone starts to crack, which ResMed's user guide treats as wear.
Will the cushion seal if I have a beard?
ResMed lists a reliable seal with facial hair among the things it designed the AirTouch F30i for. How well it works still depends on your beard, so give it a few nights, and adjust the mask's position or the lower straps if air escapes.
Can I sleep on my stomach with this mask?
Yes. The hose joins the mask on top of your head, so there's no tube in front of your face to press into the pillow. ResMed designed it for back, side, and stomach sleeping, and most people in its study could switch positions comfortably.
Does the AirTouch F30i work with the AirMini?
No. ResMed's mask compatibility list marks it as not compatible with the AirMini travel machine. It works with AirSense and AirCurve machines and other CPAP and bilevel devices, so if you travel with an AirMini, ask us which ResMed mask suits it.
Should I choose the AirTouch F30i or the AirFit X30i?
Choose the AirTouch F30i if you want soft fabric under your nose and over your mouth. The AirFit X30i shares its frame and headgear, but pairs a silicone mouth cushion with nasal pillows that rest at your nostrils. ResMed makes the cushions interchangeable, so one frame takes either.
Do I need a prescription to buy this mask?
No. Masks don't need a prescription, so you can order this one straight away. We only ask for a prescription with CPAP machines and ventilators, before they ship.
