For anyone wearing the AirFit N30, this is the split strap that keeps its small cradle cushion steady under your nose. A fresh one restores the snug, even hold the mask had out of the box, without cranking the buckle.
It's ResMed part 64216, the only N30 headgear ResMed makes, in one size with the side buckle built in. It also fits the AirFit N30 for AirMini. The frame and cushion are sold separately.
Key features:
- Goggle-style on and off: ResMed compares it to a pair of swim goggles: it goes over your head and comes off the same way, in one pull.
- Room for a ponytail: Long hair can pass through the gap in the split band, as long as a ponytail sits high enough to fit.
- No magnets anywhere: No part of this headgear is magnetic, so ResMed's magnet warnings for implant wearers and their bed partners don't come into it.
- Not the P10 strap: It looks much like the P10's split headgear, but ResMed gives the two masks different part numbers and never lists them as interchangeable.
- Less pull needed: ResMed asks you to stop tightening once the seal feels comfortable, and fresh elastic usually gets you there with much less tension.
It suits N30 wearers whose cradle has started to drift or leak as they turn, and travellers whose AirMini N30 mask needs a fresh strap. Replace the headgear and keep your cushion and frame, since each part wears on its own schedule.
Note: The AirFit N30 and AirFit N30i sound alike, but the N30i family uses a different headgear with fold-back tabs. Check for an i after the name on your frame before you order.
