The ResMed AirFit F20 covers your nose and mouth with a silicone cushion that fills with air and shapes itself to your face, so it seals on light strap tension rather than a tight squeeze. That seal is designed to stay with you as you turn over.
Day to day, the frame sits low, under your eyes, so you can read in bed with it on, and the magnetic clips make the mask quick to take off and put back on. Its QuietAir vent softens the sound of each breath out.

How it works
Putting the mask on
Unclip both magnets, then hold the cushion so its top edge lines up with the top of your nose bridge. Slide the straps back over your head with the ResMed logo facing out, bring the lower straps beneath your ears, and let each magnet find the frame.
Even out the upper straps first, then the lower ones, until the mask feels stable. With air flowing, lift the mask off your face for a moment so the cushion can fill and resettle. A leak near the top calls for the upper straps, and one near your chin for the lower pair.
Daily and weekly care
Each morning, separate the cushion, frame, and elbow, rinse them, then soak them in warm water mixed with a mild detergent, ten minutes at most, and shake them well. Brush around the vent holes and the frame joints, rinse again, and let everything dry in the air, out of direct sun.
Once a week, hand-wash the headgear the same way, leaving the magnetic clips attached. ResMed hasn't approved ozone or UV cleaners for this mask and warns that they can discolour or damage it.

InfinitySeal cushion

Magnetic clips

Common questions
When is it time for a new cushion and headgear?
ResMed suggests a new cushion every month, a new frame system every three months, and new headgear every six months. Replace any part sooner if you see cracks, tears, or other wear, as ResMed's user guide advises.
How do I find my AirFit F20 size?
Use ResMed's AirFit F20 fitting template, printed at full scale. It runs from the top of your nose bridge to just below your lower lip and shows which cushion size matches your face. Sizes from other masks may not carry over, so measure for this one.
What's different about the AirFit F20 For Her?
It's the same mask with smaller headgear, lavender accents instead of blue, and Small and Medium sizes only. It takes the same cushions as the standard Small and Medium, so replacement cushions are easy to find.
Is the AirFit F20 safe for someone with a pacemaker?
No. ResMed rules out magnetic masks when you, or someone in close contact with you while you wear one, such as a bed partner, has a pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, shunt, insulin pump, or a metal implant like an aneurysm clip or stent. Keep the magnets at least 150 mm from such devices. Call us for a mask without magnets.
Should I choose the AirFit F20 or the AirTouch F20?
Pick the AirFit F20 when you want a cushion you can wash each morning that holds its seal at high and low pressures. The AirTouch F20 shares the frame, headgear, and elbow, with a memory foam cushion ResMed designed to be gentler on skin. Both cushions are replaced monthly and fit either frame.
